TL;DR
Profound is an enterprise AI search tool. It sells one custom-priced Enterprise plan through a demo, with up to nine answer engines, an agent layer, prompt volume data and SOC 2 compliance. A free 7-day trial covers three engines. Profound pricing is a quote, because its pricing page states no monthly price. In the 28 days to 30 October 2026, on 7 AI platforms, our own project saw Profound in 3,701 of 8,953 answers, 41%. That was the most of the six brands the project monitors.

This guide states what Profound is, and what its pages say about its price. It states what the trial and the paid plan track, and which tools do the same job at a published price. Every Profound fact comes from its own pages, read on 24 September 2026. Every count comes from our own project.

What is Profound AI, and how does Profound pricing work?
Profound is an AI search visibility tool for enterprises. A free 7-day trial with 50 prompts, and a custom-priced Enterprise plan. Profound publishes no monthly price. So Profound pricing is a quote. On the pages we read on 24 September 2026, the Enterprise plan states "Custom" for projects and "Custom" for markets, and no prompt count.
In the 28 days to 30 October 2026, on 7 AI platforms, our own project analyzed 8,953 answers about AI visibility tools. 3,701 of them, 41%, named Profound. That made Profound the most named of the six brands the project monitors. Profound's Share of Voice was 29% in the same window. Our guide to the metrics defines Share of Voice, sentiment and recommendation status. The answers cited its own domain, tryprofound.com, 1,143 times, the fifth most of 3,406 domains.
What does the Profound trial track?
Profound's trial tracks ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, with 50 prompts for 7 days. The table states its terms beside the Enterprise plan, as the pricing page stated them on 24 September 2026.
| Term | Trial | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|
| How it starts | Free, for 7 days | Demo on request |
| Prompts | 50 | Custom |
| Of the 7 platforms we measure | ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot and Google AI Overviews |
| Claude, DeepSeek and Exa Search | Not tracked | Included |
| Projects | Unlimited domains | Custom |
| Markets | 1 | Custom |
| API | None | API |
| Support | None | Email, dedicated Slack or a dedicated specialist |
No exports on the trial. CSV and JSON on Enterprise. The trial and Enterprise include unlimited seats. The trial covers one language and one region. Enterprise sets both per customer. Profound sells personas on the Enterprise plan. Each persona runs as an extra execution of the prompt, beside the plain one. It counts against the prompt limit. A persona is a short description of the buyer, added to the prompt before the tool asks it. Profound shows query fan-outs beside each tracked prompt, with how often each search ran. Profound shows crawler and referral analytics through CDN integrations.
The pages we read on 24 September 2026 state nothing about an MCP server, so this guide claims none. Our guide to AI visibility by API and MCP states what an API returns, what MCP adds, and which tools offer each.
The trial covers three of the 7 platforms we measure, for 7 days. A first look at your own brand needs no trial, no account and no demo.

Our guide to how AI visibility tools price sets ten tools side by side for one brand, 50 prompts and every platform. The next table states each tool's platforms, who it fits and its main limitation.
| Tool | AI platforms | Best for | Limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| FullReach AI | ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Grok, on every plan. Each prompt runs once a day on each platform, and each number opens into the answers it counts. | Marketing teams and agencies that want seven AI platforms measured daily at one price. | No Claude tracking and no REST API. Product cards from ChatGPT only, and no ads tracking. No agents that write or publish content. The AI Agent reads the data and changes nothing. |
| ProfoundRead on | ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews on the trial. Up to nine answer engines on Enterprise, Claude, DeepSeek and Exa Search among them. | Enterprises whose security review needs SOC 2 and SSO, and teams that want agents rather than a dashboard. | No published price and no self-serve plan. The trial has no exports, history, API or support. |
| Peec AIRead on | Three models of your choice on each self-serve plan, from ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews and Naver AI. Perplexity and further models are monthly add-ons. Grok and Claude are Enterprise, via API. | Marketing teams that want many features, with three models on each plan. | Three models per plan, with a monthly charge per further model. One country on Starter and three on Pro and Advanced. |
| Otterly AIRead on | ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot on every plan. Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude as monthly add-ons. | Small teams that want ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot on every plan, from 15 prompts a month. | The entry plan has 15 prompts. Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude cost extra each month. |
| ScrunchRead on | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot on Core. Nine engines on Enterprise, including Gemini, Google AI Mode, Claude, Meta AI and Grok. | Teams that want four engines on one self-serve plan, and enterprises that want content delivery to AI agents as well as monitoring. | Four engines, one country and five competitors on the paid self-serve plan. API, MCP and Data Studio are Enterprise features. |
| AthenaHQRead on | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral on Starter. Five engines on the free plan. | Small teams that want many models and an agent that edits content, and can budget in credits. | Credits, not prompts. 3,600 responses a month is 120 a day, so about 11 prompts a day on all eleven models. Single region on Starter. API is a paid add-on. |
| Semrush AI VisibilityRead on | ChatGPT Search, Google AI Mode and Gemini for your own prompts. Its database of AI answers also covers Google AI Overviews and Perplexity. | Teams already paying for Semrush who want AI visibility in the same login. | Your own prompts run on three AI platforms. The toolkit covers one domain, and each extra user costs more. |
| Ahrefs Brand RadarRead on | ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot, with Claude at eight checks per update. | Existing Ahrefs customers, and established brands that want to benchmark against a large prompt database. | Custom prompts cost per check, so daily tracking on every platform adds up. The index fits brands that already appear in AI answers. |
| RankscaleRead on | ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, DeepSeek, Mistral, Grok, Copilot and more, chosen per search term. Coverage depends on how credits are spent. | Agencies that want many engines and white-label dashboards at a low price and can manage a credit budget. | Plans sell credits, not prompts. The answers a plan buys depend on the engines picked, so the plan card does not state the price per prompt with every engine. |
