Marketing teams and agencies ask this question when AthenaHQ reaches their shortlist. This guide reads its plans page and states the day of the read. It adds two measurements from our own project: how often AI answers name AthenaHQ, and what the answers say about it. For AthenaHQ beside FullReach AI alone, read the comparison page. For nine tools in one table, read the roundup.
What does this AthenaHQ review measure?
This AthenaHQ review measures two things: what the plans page of AthenaHQ states, read on 13 October 2026, and how AI answers treat AthenaHQ. AthenaHQ is an AI search tool that tracks visibility across eleven models and acts on it with content agents. Its Starter plan costs $295 a month for 3,600 credits, where one credit is one AI response. The plans page is the only page of AthenaHQ that we read. Every other number comes from our own project, which tracks the category we sell in, AI visibility tools. The project monitors six brands, and AthenaHQ is one of them.
Which AI platforms, prompts, markets and reports does AthenaHQ sell?
The table states what the plans page says on each thing a buyer compares, as we read it on 13 October 2026.
| What you compare | What the plans page of AthenaHQ states |
|---|---|
| AI platforms | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral on Starter. Five engines on the free plan. AthenaHQ offers further models on request. Its plans page names eleven models on Starter and says “and more” for Enterprise, so the grid counts the same eleven there. |
| Prompts and credits | AthenaHQ sells credits. Its plans page states for Starter and Enterprise that one credit is one AI response, and we count the same on Essential. "Prompts" is the number of prompts that a plan's credits ask once a day for 30 days. It counts the platforms in the plan's column that both tools track. The page states no cadence, and a slower cadence asks more prompts. Starter sells extra credits as a paid add-on, at a price the page does not state. |
| Markets and languages | Starter covers a single region. Enterprise covers multiple regions and languages. |
| Reports and exports | Starter exports data to CSV. Enterprise adds an executive dashboard for BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI and Looker. |
| Team members | Every plan includes unlimited members. |
| Website and AI crawlers | Starter and Enterprise connect GA4 and Google Search Console. They manage AI crawler access through robots.txt and llms.txt. |
| Personas | Persona targeting is an Enterprise feature. |
| Price | A free plan with 300 credits. Starter $295 a month for 3,600 credits, single region. API access and extra credits are paid add-ons. Enterprise is custom. |
The plans page also lists what AthenaHQ does beyond tracking. AthenaHQ acts on what it measures. Starter includes a content optimization agent, on-page and off-page actions, and brand voice enforcement. It estimates prompt volumes, and it connects Shopify and Webflow. It tracks Claude, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral. Enterprise adds the Athena Citation Engine, a knowledge base with claim review, SAML and OIDC SSO, and an activity audit trail. It has a free plan with 300 credits. If you want an agent that edits content as well as a dashboard, AthenaHQ covers that.
How often do AI answers name AthenaHQ?
In the 28 days to 30 October 2026, on 7 AI platforms, AthenaHQ appeared in 14% of the 8,953 answers of our own project. That is 1,239 answers. By visibility, it ranks fifth of the six brands the project monitors. Its Share of Voice, its mentions divided by the mentions of all six brands, is 9.8%. Its visibility rose 3.4 percentage points against the 28 days before.
Of its 1,239 mentions in that window, 600 read positive, 634 neutral and 5 negative. 527 answers recommended it, 707 named it without a recommendation, and 4 advised against it. The one mention left carries no recommendation status. The answers cited athenahq.ai 679 times, which places it 12th of the 3,406 domains that the answers cited. Our guide on Share of Voice defines the two rates and shows how far each one moves with few prompts.
The project asks one prompt about AthenaHQ outright, "How does AthenaHQ perform in SEO for generative search?", on every platform each day. In the same 28 days, it collected 192 answers, and 115 attempts returned no answer. Before Grok answered that prompt, it ran 34 web searches that named AthenaHQ, in six wordings. In the same 28 days, Grok also searched 4 times for the free tier of AthenaHQ, behind our prompt on the cheapest brand tracking. ChatGPT, the other platform that reports its searches, ran none that named AthenaHQ.
These counts exist because our project asks about this category every day. A brand outside the six it monitors has no such count until someone runs prompts about its own category.

What do AI answers say about AthenaHQ?
In the same 28 days, the project also asked the 7 AI platforms about AthenaHQ outright, on a weekly set of branded questions. 216 answers came back. 211 of them described this company, and 5 named no company. The strengths and the complaints below come from those answers. A theme scores 100 rank points when an answer names it first, and 10 points less for each later place. FullReach AI averages the score over every answer about the brand, and an answer without the theme counts as zero. The strength themes rest on 130 answers, and the complaint themes on 81.
| Strength the answers repeat | Rank points | Mentions |
|---|---|---|
| AI search and visibility tracking | 85 | 117 |
| Advanced AI capabilities | 54 | 74 |
| Actionable insights | 39 | 65 |
| Competitive intelligence | 21 | 36 |
The first strength is the job itself: the answers describe a tool that tracks whether a brand appears in AI answers. The second names the GEO focus and the agents. The third names the content recommendations.
| Complaint the answers repeat | Rank points | Mentions |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing | 82 | 69 |
| Feature limitations | 72 | 67 |
| Data quality | 36 | 38 |
| Usability and UX | 27 | 30 |
The 69 pricing mentions are about the cost of the first paid plan for a small team. The 67 feature mentions are about tools kept for the Enterprise plan, and about no classic SEO toolset. The 38 data quality mentions are about credits spent per response, and a short history. The 30 usability mentions are about a learning curve for GEO metrics. Our guide on AI brand perception covers the branded question set behind these themes.
What does AthenaHQ cost?
As its plans page read on 13 October 2026, AthenaHQ's Starter plan costs $295 a month for 3,600 credits. Its Essential plan costs $0 and grants 300 credits. Who does AthenaHQ fit, and which alternative answers each complaint?

|---|---|---|
